At Fútbol is Life PDX, we are a community-driven team united by one belief: every child deserves the chance to play.
What We Do
We serve as a bridge between families and opportunity.
Navigating youth soccer can be overwhelming. Tryouts, costs, transportation, and language barriers can make it difficult for families to get involved.
That’s where we step in.
We:
- Provide inclusive, centralized information about soccer clubs, programs, and pathways
- Help families understand how to get started and progress in the sport
- Connect players to financial aid and scholarship opportunities
- Build relationships with clubs, coaches, and community partners
- Advocate for greater access and inclusion in youth soccer
Why We Do This
Soccer is more than just a sport. It is a gateway to belonging, confidence, and growth.
For many of us, soccer has shaped who we are. It has given us friendships, community, and a sense of purpose. But we also recognize that not every child has the same access to those opportunities.
Cost, lack of information, and systemic barriers often exclude talented and passionate kids from the game.
We do this work because:
- We believe talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not
- We have seen firsthand how soccer can change lives
- We want every child to feel seen, included, and valued
- We are committed to building a more equitable and connected community
