National Level Soccer

 MLS NEXT 2 is a high-level competitive platform that exists at select top clubs. It serves as a strong development level for players aiming to compete at the highest levels locally and regionally.

Players must attend tryouts at clubs offering this level, such as top-tier programs in the Portland metro.

ECNL is one of the highest levels of youth club soccer in the United States, providing elite competition and player development. Many clubs also offer ECNL Regional League (ECNL RL), which serves as a regional pathway with strong competition and fewer travel requirements. Players often move between ECNL RL and ECNL as they continue to develop.

• Multiple pathways through ECNL and ECNL RL for different stages of player development.

• Highly competitive tryout process

Players must attend tryouts at clubs that offer ECNL or ECNL RL programs. Coaches evaluate players based on technical ability, athleticism, tactical understanding, and long-term potential before placing them on the team that best matches their current level of development.
